Executive Director, Kristi Lafleur

Kristi Lafleur was selected as executive director by the Illinois Tollway Board of Directors in April 2010. She is the first female executive director in the Tollway's history. Lafleur is responsible for day-to-day management of the agency, oversight of its $973 million annual budget and leading the nearly 1,600 employees in providing a safe, effective and efficient toll highway system and ensuring the highest possible level of customer service for the Tollway's 1.4 million daily drivers.

In October 2010, Lafleur was named by Governor Pat Quinn to co-chair the Elgin O'Hare West Bypass Advisory Council, which was created to assist in the planning and building of this important project. Lafleur also was named to Crain's Chicago Business "40 under 40" list in November 2010 and to Crain's list of "Women to Watch 2011."

In September 2011, Lafleur was named to the board of directors of the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association, the worldwide association for the owners and operators of toll facilities and the businesses that serve tolling. She also serves on the executive board of the E-ZPass Group, an association of 24 toll agencies in 14 states that works to advance interoperability of toll collection systems throughout North America, and on advisory boards for the Chicago Innovation Awards and Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) Greater Chicago Chapter.

In January 2012, Lafleur and Illinois Department of Transportation Secretary Ann Schneider were named Women of the Year by the WTS Greater Chicago Chapter. The award recognized Lafleur for her leadership and outstanding contributions to the Chicago area transportation industry.

Prior to joining the Tollway, Lafleur served as deputy chief of staff for economic development and recovery for Governor Quinn and chair of the Midwest High Speed Rail Steering Committee.
