Planning Ahead

Daily lane closures are posted every day so that drivers know what to expect ahead of time. The Daily Lane Closure Report (pdf) lists temporary lane and shoulder closures and long-term closures by roadway. All closures are subject to weather conditions.

Minimizing Impact

To minimize the impact of construction improvements on traffic, the Illinois Tollway works hard to keep lanes open during peak travel times. Ample warning and relevant information is posted on signage in advance of and throughout a work zone. Be alert and pay attention to these signs so that you can travel safely through work zones.
