I-294/I-57 Interchange Grand Opening - October 25, 2014

Governor Pat Quinn announces the opening of the Tri-State Tollway (I-294)/I-57 Interchange connecting the two interstates for the first time and creating access for the Chicago Southland region.
Illinois Tollway Executive Director Kristi Lafleur thanks business, construction and community leaders to mark the completion of the opening of the new Tri-State Tollway (I-294)/I-57 Interchange.
The Illinois Tollway hosted a ribbon-cutting to formally open the new ramps on the Tri-State Tollway (I-294)/I-57 Interchange to traffic. The ceremony was attended by congressional, state and local officials, as well as local business leaders and construction professionals who worked on the project.
An Illinois Tollway Highway Emergency Lane Patrol (H.E.L.P.) truck and an Illinois Department of Transportation Minute Man truck were the first vehicles to drive on the new ramp from northbound I-57 to the northbound Tri-State Tollway (I-294) followed by police cars from neighboring communities of Dixmoor, Harvey, Markham, Midlothian and Posen.

I-90/Illinois Route 47 Interchange Grand Opening - November 8, 2013

The Illinois Tollway hosted a ribbon-cutting to formally open the new Illinois Route 47 Interchange on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) to traffic. The ceremony was attended by officials from the Illinois Department of Transportation, the village of Huntley, Kane County and McHenry County, as well as local business leaders and construction professionals who worked on the project.
The Tollway and Illinois Department of Transportation join local elected officials in celebrating the first vehicles to drive on the new westbound entrance ramp to the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90).
A truck from Deans Foods Co., a national food and beverage company with roots in Huntley, is one of the first vehicles to drive on the new westbound entrance ramp to the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90).
