Tri-State Tollway (I-294/I-94/I-80)
Off-peak closures are scheduled on the South and North Tri-State Tollway for pavement repairs, barrier wall work, and bridge repairs.
November 19 Overnight Closures
- One southbound lane at Half Day Road will close at 8 p.m. tonight, November 19, with a second lane closing at 11 p.m. for bridge demolition work. Several full, 15-minute closures are scheduled after midnight. All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. on Thursday, November 20.
- Two southbound lanes between the Lincoln Oasis and IL Route 394 will close at 9 p.m. tonight, November 19, for pavement repairs. All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. on Thursday, November 20.
November 20 Off-Peak Daytime Closures
- One lane in each direction between OPlaine Road and Russell Road will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, for barrier wall work.
Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88)
Overnight lane closures are scheduled on the Rebuild & Widen Projects between York Road and Washington Street.
November 19 Overnight Lane Closures
- Overnight lane closures are scheduled in both directions between the I-355 interchange and IL Route 83 for guardrail repair work on Wednesday, November 19. One lane will close at 8 p.m. and will reopen by 5 a.m. on Thursday, November 20.
November 20 Off-Peak Daytime Closures
- One eastbound lane will close from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, between Washington Street and Yackley Road for barrier wall removal.
Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90)
Overnight closures are scheduled for paving work and bridge work.
November 19 20 Off-Peak Closures
- One eastbound lane at IL Route 31 will close at 7 p.m. tonight, November 19, with a second lane closing at 8 p.m. for bridge work. All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. on Thursday, November 20. The same closures are planned on Thursday, November 20, following the same schedule.
- One lane in each direction between IL Route 173 and Prairie Hill Road will close at 6 p.m. tonight, November 19, for paving work and overhead sign work. One full, 15-minute closure of the westbound lanes is scheduled at midnight. The eastbound lane will reopen at 6 a.m. and the westbound lane at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 20.
Work Zone Safety
A 45 m.p.h. speed limit is in effect 24/7 in all construction zones, whether or not workers are present. Drivers should continue to watch for changing traffic patterns and use caution, especially when workers are present. Illinois State Police have zero tolerance for drivers speeding in work zones. The minimum penalty for speeding in a work zone is $375. Posted signs advise motorists of a $10,000 fine and 14-year jail sentence for hitting a roadway worker. Keep Workers Alive Drive 45.
