I-PASS is a prepaid toll collection system that saves motorists time and money on the road. Every toll lane on the system is equipped to accept I-PASS which can also be used on the Chicago Skyway, the Indiana Toll Road, and on any of the more than 20 U.S. tollroads where E-ZPass is accepted.

To avoid violations be sure to update your I-PASS account:

  • Confirm credit card information
  • Update/add license plates
  • Add funds to your account
  • Update your email address
  • Review account activity

Mounting your transponder ensures successful toll transactions. Avoid violations!

  • Do not wave your transponder
  • Do not mount on the dashboard

Violations can be a result of misreads and may carry additional fees.

Questions about vTolls or tTolls?

Previously unpaid tolls are called vTolls or tTolls, and may have been deducted from your account recently, as we were unable to deduct these tolls from your account at the time you drove through the toll plaza. Learn more about “vTolls or tTolls” in the I-PASS FAQs.
