District 15 has dual-reporting responsibilities to the Illinois State Police and the Illinois Tollway. Troopers assigned to District 15 patrol the Illinois Tollway, associated ramps, and oases - consisting of 286 miles of predominantly metropolitan interstate.
Requirements for becoming a State Trooper include an associate's degree with three years of active military or police experience, or a bachelor's degree.
