Recognizing the tremendous need for roadway, infrastructure and congestion-relief projects throughout Illinois, the Illinois Tollway has worked with numerous partners in developing three TIGER grant applications to ensure Illinois is well represented when Federal officials review the hundreds of TIGER applications submitted from states and localities throughout the nation. Listed below, the Tri-State (I-294)/I-57 interchange application provides regional improvement to over-the-road freight movement, the 511 Travel Information project enhances mobility, safety and security for the regions drivers and the Pace partnership connects communities to job-centers with a low-cost and environmentally responsible transit option.
