Tri-State Tollway (I-294/I-94/I-80)
Overnight and off-peak closures are scheduled for pavement striping and barrier wall work.
October 26 - Overnight Lane Closures
- One southbound lane between 127th Street and 159th Street will close at 10 p.m. tonight, October 26, for median work. The lane will reopen at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27. The same closure is planned on Tuesday, October 27.
- One northbound lane between Everett Road and IL Route 60 will close at 10 p.m. tonight, October 26, for sign installation work. Three full, 15-minute closures are scheduled after midnight. All lanes will reopen at 4 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27.
- One southbound lane between Bradley Road and IL Route 176 will close at 6 p.m. tonight, October 26, for drainage work. The lane will reopen at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27. The same closure is planned northbound on Tuesday, October 27.
October 26 30 Off-Peak Lane Closures
- One northbound lane between OHare Oasis and Balmoral Avenue will close from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, for pavement striping work.
- One southbound lane will close between Dundee Road and Willow Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, for sewer work.
- One westbound lane on the Edens Spur between the plaza and I-294 will close from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, for bridge work.
Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88)
Lane closures are scheduled for pavement striping and overhead sign work.
October 26 - 27 Overnight Lane Closures
- One eastbound lane between Randall Road and IL Route 31 will close after midnight tonight, October 26, for shoulder patching work. The lane will reopen by 5 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27. The same closure is planned overnight on Tuesday, October 27, following the same schedule.
October 27 - 30 Off-Peak Lane Closures
- One lane in each direction on Eola Road between I-88 and IL Prairie Path Bridge will close from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, for pavement work. The same closure is planned daily through Friday, October 30.
- One lane in each direction on Bilter Road between I-88 ramps and Eola Road will close from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27 for storm sewer work. Flaggers will be used to maintain traffic flow. The same closure is planned daily through Friday, October 30.
- One lane on the eastbound entrance ramp from Midwest Road will close from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, for electrical work.
Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90)
Overnight lane closures are scheduled for noisewall work and bridge work.
October 26 27 Overnight Lane Closures
- One eastbound lane between McCurry Road and Newburg Road will close at 7 p.m. tonight, October 26, for overhead sign work. Two full, 15-minute closures are scheduled after midnight. The lane will reopen at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27. The same closures are planned in each direction on Tuesday, October 27.
- One lane in each direction between Brier Hill Road and County Line Road will close at 6 p.m. tonight, October 26, for pavement repair work. All lanes will reopen at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27.
October 27 Off-Peak Lane Closures
- One lane in each direction between IL Route 173 and Rockton Road will close from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, for pavement striping work.
Veterans Memorial Tollway (I-355)
Off-peak lane closures are scheduled for erosion control work.
October 27 Off-Peak Lane Closures
- One northbound lane between 75th Street and 71st Street will closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, for erosion control work.
Work Zone Safety
A 45 m.p.h. speed limit is in effect 24/7 in all construction zones, whether or not workers are present. Drivers should continue to watch for changing traffic patterns and use caution, especially when workers are present. Illinois State Police have zero tolerance for drivers speeding in work zones. The minimum penalty for speeding in a work zone is $375. Posted signs advise motorists of a $10,000 fine and 14-year jail sentence for hitting a roadway worker. Keep Workers Alive Drive 45.
