Tri-State Tollway (I-294/I-94/I-80)
Overnight and off-peak closures are scheduled for pavement striping and bridge work.

October 27 - Overnight Lane Closures
  • One northbound lane between Milwaukee Avenue and Willow Road will close at 7 p.m. tonight, October 27, for sign relocation work. The lane will reopen by 5 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28.
  • One northbound between Half Day Road and Atkinson Road will close at 7 p.m. tonight, October 27, for pavement striping work. The lane will reopen at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28. The same closure is planned on Wednesday, October 28.
  • Three northbound lanes between 159th Street and the Cal-Sag Channel and the ORT lanes at the 163rd Street Toll Plaza will close at 9 p.m. tonight, October 27, for pavement striping work. All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28. The same closures are planned on Wednesday, October 28, and Thursday, October 29.
October 28 – Off-Peak Lane Closures
  • One westbound lane on the Edens Spur between the plaza and I-294 will close from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28, for bridge work.
Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88)
Lane closures are scheduled for pavement striping and overhead sign work.

October 27 - 28 – Overnight Lane Closures
  • Two westbound lanes between the I-294 Bridge and York Road will close at 10 p.m. tonight, October 27, for overhead sign truss work. The lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28. The same closures are scheduled on Wednesday, October 28.
  • One lane on the ramp carrying southbound I-294 traffic to westbound I-88 will close at 10 p.m. tonight, October 27, for overhead sign truss work. The lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28. The same closures are scheduled on Wednesday, October 28.
October 28 – Off-Peak Lane Closures
  • One eastbound lane between Spring Road and Salt Creek will close from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, for erosion control work.
Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90)
Overnight lane closures are scheduled for noisewall work and pavement repair work.

October 27 – Overnight Lane Closures
  • One lane in each direction from Brier Hill Road to County Line Road will close at 6 p.m. tonight, October 27, for pavement repair work. All lanes will reopen at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28.
October 28 – Off-Peak Lane Closures
  • One lane in each direction between Newburg Road and IL Route 173 will close from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, for noisewall work.
Veterans Memorial Tollway (I-355)
Off-peak lane closures are scheduled for erosion control work.

October 28 – Off-Peak Lane Closures
  • One northbound lane between 75th Street and 71st Street will closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, for erosion control work. The same closure is planned on Thursday, October 29.
Work Zone Safety

A 45 m.p.h. speed limit is in effect 24/7 in all construction zones, whether or not workers are present. Drivers should continue to watch for changing traffic patterns and use caution, especially when workers are present. Illinois State Police have zero tolerance for drivers speeding in work zones. The minimum penalty for speeding in a work zone is $375. Posted signs advise motorists of a $10,000 fine and 14-year jail sentence for hitting a roadway worker. Keep Workers Alive – Drive 45.
