Tri-State Tollway (I-294/I-94/I-80)
Overnight and off-peak closures are scheduled for bridge work and noisewall work.

November 12 – Overnight Lane Closures
  • One southbound lane between Electric Avenue and Butterfield Road will close at 8 p.m. tonight, November 12, for bridge work. Two additional lanes will close at 10 p.m. All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. on Friday, November 13.
November 13 – Off-Peak Lane Closures
  • One southbound lane between 111th Street and Ridgeland Avenue will close from 6 a.m. to noon on Friday, November 13, for noisewall work.
  • One eastbound lane on the Edens Spur between the toll plaza and I-294 will close from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, November 13, for bridge painting work.
  • Traffic on Central Avenue under I-294 will be reduced to one lane from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, November 13, for pavement grinding work. Bi-directional traffic will be maintained through the use of flaggers.
Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88)
Lane closures are scheduled for earthwork and striping.

November 12 – Overnight Lane and Ramp Closures
  • One lane in each direction between the Fox River Bridge and IL Route 56 will close at 8 p.m. tonight, November 12, for pavement striping work. At midnight, the westbound exit ramp to IL Route 31 will close for pavement striping. All ramps and lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. on Friday, November 13.
  • One lane in each direction between the I-355 Interchange and Highland Avenue will close at 8 p.m. tonight, November 12, for electrical work. A second westbound lane will close at 10 p.m. Three, full closures of the roadway are scheduled in 15-minute increments beginning after midnight. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. on Friday, November 13.
  • One eastbound lane between Midwest Road and Meyers Road will close at 8 p.m. tonight, November 12, for drainage work. The lane will reopen by 5 a.m. on Friday, November 13.
  • One eastbound lane and two westbound lanes will close between the EJ&E Railroad and Eola Road at 10 p.m. tonight, November 12, for overhead sign truss work. A second eastbound lane will close after midnight. Two full, 15-minute closures in each direction are scheduled to begin after midnight. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. on Friday, November 13.
November 13 – Off-Peak Lane Closures
  • One westbound lane between the EJ&E Railroad and Eola Road will close between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m., and one eastbound lane will close between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, November 13, for roadway lighting and barrier wall removal work.
Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90)
Overnight and off-peak lane closures are scheduled for pavement striping work.

November 12 – Overnight Lane Closures
  • Two eastbound lanes from Barrington Road to Arlington Heights Road and two westbound lanes from IL Route 25 to the Fox River will close at 9 p.m. tonight, November 12, for pavement repairs. The lanes will reopen at 6 a.m. on Friday, November 13.
  • One eastbound lane from State Street to the Kishwaukee River will close at 7 p.m. tonight, November 12, for pavement striping. The lane will reopen at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 13. The same closure is planned on Friday, November 13.
November 13 – Off-Peak Lane Closures
  • One westbound lane between Irene Road and I-39 will close from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, November 13, for paving work.
Work Zone Safety

A 45 m.p.h. speed limit is in effect 24/7 in all construction zones, whether or not workers are present. Drivers should continue to watch for changing traffic patterns and use caution, especially when workers are present. Illinois State Police have zero tolerance for drivers speeding in work zones. The minimum penalty for speeding in a work zone is $375. Posted signs advise motorists of a $10,000 fine and 14-year jail sentence for hitting a roadway worker. Keep Workers Alive – Drive 45.
