Tri-State Tollway (I-294/I-94/I-80)
Overnight and off-peak closures are scheduled for striping work and sign truss work.

November 17 – 18 – Overnight Lane Closures
  • One lane in each direction between Duffy Lane and Atkinson Road will close at 7 p.m. tonight, November 17, for pavement striping work. A second southbound lane will close at 10 p.m. All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18. The same closure is planned on Wednesday, November 18.
November 18 – Off-Peak Lane Closures
  • One northbound lane between O’Plaine Road and Grand Avenue will close from 7 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, November 18, for sign truss work.
  • One northbound lane between the Edens Expressway and Lake Cook Road will close from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18 for bridge work.
Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88)
Lane closures are scheduled for earthwork and striping.

November 17 – Overnight Lane and Ramp Closures
  • One westbound lane between the EJ&E Railroad and Eola Road will close at 7 p.m. tonight, November 17, for pavement striping work and a traffic shift. A second lane will close at 9 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18. At that time, traffic will be shifted off the median shoulder and traffic will be traveling in the standard, three lane configuration.
  • One eastbound lane between the Fox River Bridge and IL Route 56 will close at 8 p.m. tonight, November 17, for pavement striping work. At midnight, the eastbound entrance and exit ramps at the Orchard Road Interchange will close intermittently to complete pavement striping. The ramps are not scheduled to be closed simultaneously. All ramps and lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18.
November 18 – Off-Peak Lane Closures
  • One lane in each direction on Eola Road between I-88 and IL Prairie Path Bridge will close between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, for paving and electrical work.
  • One lane in each direction on 22nd Street under I-88 will close from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility work.
Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90)
Overnight lane closures are scheduled for pavement striping work.

November 17 – 18 – Overnight Lane Closures
  • One eastbound lane between State Street and the Kishwaukee River will close at 7 p.m. tonight, November 17, for striping work. The lane will reopen at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18. The same closure is planned on Wednesday, November 18.
  • One eastbound lane between the Kishwaukee River and IL Route 23 will close at 7 p.m. tonight, November 17, for striping work. The lane will reopen at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18. The same closure is planned on Wednesday, November 18.
  • One westbound lane between I-190 and I-294 will close at 7 p.m. tonight, November 17, for bridge work. The lane will reopen by 5 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18. On Wednesday, November 18, one westbound lane will close at 7 p.m. with a second lane closing at 11 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. on Thursday, November 19.
Work Zone Safety

A 45 m.p.h. speed limit is in effect 24/7 in all construction zones, whether or not workers are present. Drivers should continue to watch for changing traffic patterns and use caution, especially when workers are present. Illinois State Police have zero tolerance for drivers speeding in work zones. The minimum penalty for speeding in a work zone is $375. Posted signs advise motorists of a $10,000 fine and 14-year jail sentence for hitting a roadway worker. Keep Workers Alive – Drive 45.
