Tolls and I-PASS
I-PASS is a prepaid toll collection system that saves motorists time and money. Every toll lane on the Illinois Tollway is equipped to accept I-PASS, which can also be used on the Chicago Skyway, the Indiana Toll Road, and in 15 states by more than 25 toll agencies where E-ZPass is accepted.
Happy Birthday I-PASS
|The Illinois Tollway's small, white plastic device called an I-PASS transponder is celebrating its 20th birthday. The devices were first used to pay tolls on what was formerly called the North-South Tollway (I-355) the morning of November 18, 1993 – formally launching the Tollway's electronic toll collection system.|
To help Tollway customers celebrate I-PASS' 20th birthday, we hosted a sweepstakes to give Tollway customers the chance to win a gift card good for $100 in free tolls. Entries were accepted through noon on December 2. A drawing was held to randomly select the winner.
