Overweight/Overdimension Permits
Overweight/Overdimension Vehicle Permits
A permit is necessary for the movement of vehicles exceeding weight and size limits on the Illinois Tollway.
This page details those weight and size limitations, permit fees and restrictions on movements.
All vehicles must have a state Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) permit number prior to obtaining a Tollway permit. Illinois Tollway requirements are consistent with the rules and regulations of IDOT.
Time of day and holiday travel restrictions apply to some vehicles. Learn more.
