Login Trouble

  • If your username and/or password is not working, please follow the "Forgot Username?" or "Forgot Password?" links on the login page to retrieve your username or password. In the event you are unable to gain access through this method.
  • If you recently ordered your transponder online and have not yet received it, you will not be able to create your username until you receive your transponder. Please try back when you receive your transponder.
  • If you are having trouble creating your username or are experiencing other issues with logging in, send an email to the Customer Service team using the green button near the bottom of our Contact Us page.

Account Number

Your Account Number is a unique number that identifies your account.

If you do not know your account number, it is possible to create your username using the transponder number located on your I-PASS transponder above the barcode. This number begins with 015.

Transponder Number

Your transponder is the actual I-PASS device that you position in the window of your vehicle. Your transponder number is located on your I-PASS transponder above the barcode. The number begins with 015. Enter the entire 11 digits of your transponder ID. Be sure to include any leading zeroes. Do not include any dashes, letters, spaces or other special characters. For example—your transponder number should be entered as 01500000000.

Email Address

This is the email address recorded on your I-PASS account. Once you have logged in for the first time, you will be able to add or change this email address.

It is important that your email address is current so you can receive notifications related to your account.

To protect your account security, we do not allow your online username to be an email address.

Username

If you have not yet created a username and password on our system please visit this link for more information on how to access your account.

Your username must be at least 4 characters in length and may include the characters A-Z, 0-9, and special characters underscore (_), hyphen (-) and period (.). This field is NOT case sensitive.

If you are unable to remember your username, please use the links provided on the login page to retrieve your username. In the event you are unable to gain access through this method, please use the "Forgot Username?" link to recreate your login credentials.

Password

If you have not yet created a username and password on our system please visit this link for more information on how to access your account.

Your password must be at least 8 characters in length and contain both lowercase and uppercase letters, one or more numbers and one or more special characters (for example !, @, #, or $). This field is case sensitive.

If you are unable to remember your password, please use the links provided on the login page to retrieve your password. In the event you are unable to gain access through this method, please use the "Forgot Password?" link to recreate your login credentials.

Security Question

A security question is used to enable you to retrieve your username or password in the event you are unable to remember it. Choose your question from the drop down menu. You will also be asked to create a security answer which you will need to enter in order to retrieve your username or password.

Security Answer

A security answer is used to enable you to retrieve your username or password in the event you are unable to remember it. When you attempt to retrieve your username or password, the system will present you with your security question and ask you for this answer. It is suggested you select an answer that will be easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess. You can enter up to 50 characters in this field. Please answer the question exactly as you entered it when it was created, however the field is not case sensitive.

Driver's License Number

The Driver's License Number registered on your I-PASS account. Commercial Accounts should use their FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number) in place of driver's license number. Please leave out any spaces or special characters that may be in your license number entering only letters and numbers. Note: All Illinois driver's licenses begin with the first letter of your last name. For example—your driver's license should be entered as A00000000000.

If your driver's license is not recognized, you must visit an Illinois Tollway customer service center so that your driver's license number can be verified and updated on your account. For security purposes this cannot be done over the phone. Verification and updates will need to be completed before you will be able to create an online username.

FEIN

The FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number) registered with the account. If you are receive an error message that states that your FEIN is not recognized, for security purposes, you must mail a letter on company letterhead requesting updates that need to be made to your account. Verification and updates authorized by your letter must be completed before you will be able to create an online username.
