Central Tri-State Project Open House

The Illinois Tollway will host open house meetings next week to share 2019 construction information with customers, residents, businesses and communities as part of ongoing $4 billion Central Tri-State Tollway (I-294) Project. The Central Tri-State is being reconstructed from Balmoral Avenue to 95th Street to provide congestion relief, reconstruct old infrastructure to meet current and future transportation demand and address regional needs. The open house meetings will provide the opportunity to view informational displays and ask questions about work scheduled in 2019 including roadway construction and widening in the northern segment between Balmoral Avenue and Wolf Road and the start of construction on the Mile Long Bridge and the BNSF Railway Bridge, as well as the overall concept plan for the corridor. The open house schedule includes meetings on: Monday, May 20, 6-8 p.m. at the Burr Ridge Police Department, 7700 S. County Line Road, Burr Ridge Tuesday, May 21, 6-8 p.m., at the Lipinski Center, 7256 Skyline Drive, Justice Wednesday, May 22, 6-8 p.m., at the Schiller Park Community Center, 4501 25th Avenue, Schiller Park The Illinois Tollway values public input and believes that Tollway customers are best served when a variety of perspectives on the issues are shared.
