Elgin O'Hare Western Access (EOWA)

2016 Construction

In 2016, construction will continue to build the new Illinois Route 390 Tollway from I-290 east to Illinois Route 83 along Thorndale Avenue, including building new bridges and frontage roads to accommodate local traffic. In addition, work will continue at the I-290 Interchange Project and on the new Wood Dale Road Interchange, as well as at Elmhurst Road Interchange Project on I-90.

Reconstruction and repair work on the western segment of Illinois Route 390 was completed in 2015, and tolling on this segment from I-290 west to Lake Street (U.S. Route 20) will begin July 5, 2016.
