Transponder Types

License Plate Mounted

Fewer than 1% of vehicles have windshields or systems that interfere with transactions using the windshield-mounted transponder. In this case, a license plate transponder (LPT) is required. 

Roof Mounted

The roof mounted transponder is recommended for large commercial vehicles, such as trucks, buses, coaches and RVs.

Windshield Mounted

The windshield transponder is the most common transponder type. These transponders work in 99% of vehicles.
